686 is committed to ensuring that 686.com is accessible to all customers, including people with disabilities. We apply the relevant accessibility standards throughout the design, development, and maintenance of our online store, so that every customer can browse products, manage an account, and complete a purchase independently.
This statement applies to 686.com and its subdomains, including the product catalog, search, account area, shopping cart, and checkout.
686.com fully conforms with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. "Fully conforms" means that the content meets all applicable Level A and Level AA success criteria without exception.
Because WCAG 2.2 Level AA forms the web content requirements of the harmonized European standard EN 301 549, conformance at this level also supports the requirements applicable to our website under the European Accessibility Act.

686 maintains accessibility through the following organizational and technical measures:
• Accessibility requirements are included in our design system, content guidelines, and definition of done for all new features.
• Automated accessibility testing runs in our development pipeline before each release.
• Manual testing with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and screen magnification is performed on key purchase journeys before major releases.
• An independent accessibility audit is conducted at least annually.
• Accessibility requirements are included in procurement criteria for third-party services integrated into the website.
The website supports the following, among other features:
• Full operation by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and skip links to main content.
• Text alternatives for informative images, including product photography.
• Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA ratios, with information never conveyed by color alone.
• Content that reflows without loss of information at 400% zoom and on small screens.
• Clearly labelled form fields, descriptive error messages, and the ability to review and correct an order before purchase.
• Captions and transcripts for pre-recorded video content.
• Checkout and sign-in flows that avoid cognitive function tests and do not impose time limits without the option to extend them.
The website is designed to be compatible with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies. The following combinations were tested during our most recent audit:

The accessibility of the website relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS, and JavaScript. These technologies must be enabled in your browser for conformance with the accessibility standards to be maintained.
The website includes some components provided by third parties. We select these providers in part on the basis of their accessibility, and we include them in the scope of our audits where they form part of the purchase journey. Where we identify an accessibility issue in third-party content, we report it to the provider and offer an accessible alternative while it is resolved.
Content uploaded by customers, such as product reviews and photographs, may not always meet accessibility standards. Despite our efforts, some content may occasionally fall short of our standards between audits. If you encounter a barrier, please contact us as described below.
